AC operated Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT’s) contain no electronics and are therefore the first choice when small size, hostile environments or low cost are required. AC LVDT’s when used in conjunction with Schaevitz® Signal conditioners (see Instrumentation) offer the maximum amount of flexibility for outputs and scaling.
