Measurement Specialties to Showcase New Accelerometers at Euro Test Expo

Measurement Specialties will showcase new military/aerospace testing accelerometers at Booth 1228 at the European Aerospace Testing Expo in MÜnchen, March 27-29.  Also on display will be miniature pressure transducers for flight and wind tunnel testing, load cells and other sensors for test applications.  Sensor design engineers will be available to discuss your specific application.

New products for display include the packaged, bridge-type accelerometer Model 3801 (featured below), as well as packaged, amplified accelerometers Models 4000, 4001a, 4600, 4602, 4610, 4620 and 4801a.  Triaxial accelerometers featured include Models 4530 and 4630.  All ten products have been introduced in the last year.  For more information on these accels, contact Bjorn Ryden, Vibration Products Manager, (949) 716-7516 or bjorn.ryden@meas-spec.com.

Measurement Specialties has just published a new brochure featuring the entire lineup of 50 accelerometers Click here for the PDF.

The subminiature EPL pressure sensor comes as small as 1/8 inch (3.18mm) across and about 5/100 inch (1.65mm) thick.
Pressure sensors on display at the Aero Test Expo include the miniature EP Series from the former Entran, acquired by Measurement Specialties in 2004. Samples include the sub-miniature EPI, EPIH and flat EPL models designed for wind tunnel and wing flutter testing, as well as the EPX and EPRB pressure transducers. For more information on these pressure products, contact Dan Slavik in the US at (973) 347-3756 or dan.slavik@meas-spec.com or Sirivath Chourakorn in Europe at +33 (0) 1 30 79 33 00 or sirivath.chourakorn@meas-spec.com.

Rugged, Hermetic Accelerometer for Military/Aerospace Testing Applications

The Model 3801 accelerometer features high overrange protection and temperature compensation in a rugged, hermetic package for use in harsh environments.
Measurement Specialties’ introduces the new Model 3801 accelerometer for high performance applications. This device is a hermetically sealed accelerometer ideal for steady state and transient measurements of acceleration and shock pulses in harsh environments.

The accelerometer incorporates piezoresistive MEMS sensing technology with gas damping to offer a wide frequency response. The accelerometer is offered in ranges from ±20g to ±2000g which makes it suitable for both low-level measurements and high-end transient shock measurements. Integral over-range stops designed into the MEMS sensing element provide shock protection to over 10,000g’s without affecting the unit's calibration.

Low-Profile, Through-Hole “Washer” Load Cell Offers Superior Performance at OEM Pricing

The Microfused™ ELWF load cell offers a low profile, through-hole design for long-term durability and low cost in unique industrial applications.

Measurement Specialties introduces the ELWF series of low profile, “washer” load cells featuring a through-hole design for unique measurement situations that need to accommodate a center shaft or for bolt load type applications. Ease of installation, superior performance, small size and long-term durability – all at very low pricing – make the ELWF the sensor of choice for through-hole compression applications such as measuring bolt loads, assembly forces, biomechanical forces, tool forces, thrust measurements and robotics end effectors.

Priced at least 25% lower than competitive products, the ELWF is designed for high volume, low cost OEM use as well test and instrumentation applications. ELWF Series measures compression forces in 8 ranges, from 5 lbf to 2000 lbf. Single piece prices are under $400, with discounts for volume and OEM orders.
